Funds are raised through the collection of membership fees and annual dues, donations from the general public and through various fundraising events.

The Memorial Fund provides assistance/support to the families of injured or fallen Arizona Law Enforcement Officers. It is an affiliate of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Advisory Posse (the "Advisory Posse") whose membership consists of Arizona business men and women who raise funds for the benefit of the Memorial Fund. The Advisory Posse also provides assistance for the training and safety of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Deputies.

The Memorial Fund and the Advisory Posse were started in 1998 by fellow officers and Arizona business leaders who were concerned about helping with the immediate financial needs of the families of injured or fallen Arizona Law Enforcement Officers.

All members of the Memorial Fund and Advisory Posse work as volunteers and do not receive compensation from these funds. 100% of monies donated in the name(s) of injured or fallen officers go directly to the families. The Memorial Fund provides additional assistance to the families as well. 100% of all donations are for the exclusive benefit of the families. The Memorial Fund and Advisory Posse have currently paid out over $600,000 to families of injured and fallen officers around all of Arizona.
